In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
